tts: route 30
invited audiences to sign up, board a 22 seater bus and experience an
alternative sight seeing 'terror' tour of the melbourne metropolis. Using live performance, on-board media, video and wireless audio, the
bus navigates through public sites, with on-board tour guides revealing
a darker underbelly of a city that is 'alert', 'alarmed' and in a
heightened state of anxiety.
tts: route 30 was one part of tts: australia a body of work concieved and produced by PVI. The works are provocative, satirical and challenging, investigating the rise of a politics of fear from a uniquely Australian perspective. tts: route 30 is the brainchild of PVI, devised in collaboration with cicada with city-specific soundscapes developed by Jason Sweeney. |
