Series of audio visual performances December 2004 Melbourne, Australia
A series of free, summer evening performances produced by cicada, held at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image in December
2004. These performances showcased innovative collaborations
between artists working across both traditional and emerging
audio/visual genre and utilising the latest digital media technologies.
Javanese shadow puppetry, Aussie hip hop, live digital video manipulation, traditional sitar, turntablism and A/V cutups co-habited these free public performances exploring a sublime fusion of traditional art, technology and emerging performance mediums. 3 Feather Nest website 3 Feather Nest was supported by the City of Melbourne and the Australian Centre for the Moving Image. |
